Glory of God to the Nations – Dr John Joseph

For thus said the Lord of Hosts, ‘After His glory sent me to the Nations who plundered you, for He who touches you, touches the apple of His eye Zech 2:8

Greetings to you in Jesus’ mighty name. It’s been an amazing joy to enter into the year 2014. It’s been another year of God’s faithfulness. God has been good to us to give us another year to see His mighty works in and through our lives. 2013 indeed had been a year of God’s favor being poured out on every side. The work in the ministry grew and spread to new borders and new heights. Many were touched by the love of God and the power of God. New people joined the ministry team and God is helping them to fulfill their call in their life and generation. God’s prophetic word is being fulfilled in your lives and ours.

As I was seeking the Lord for the year 2014, I felt a strong urge in my heart that the year 2014, is going to be a year of ‘God’s glory being revealed to the Nations’ and its people. God is going to cause His glory to shine through His Church to the nations. That means you are going to be an instrument of God’s glory! The Bible says in Isaiah 60:1-2, ‘Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. Hallelujah!

There is going to be a new outpouring of a revelation of God’s glory like the early Church. The Word of God says, we must Arise and Shine for Jesus, because our light has come. The Glory of Yahweh has risen upon us. When the glory comes upon us, God wants us to Arise and Shine for Him. He does not want you to hide or limit that glory. He wants you to shine that glory for His Holy name sake.

What is this glory of God?

Is it a fire on top of a mountain? Is it a cloud that appears in the middle of an auditorium full of worshippers? What really is glory? The Bible says that fire and cloud can be a manifestation of glory but is not what glory is all about. It is the revelation of the different facets of God.

God’s glory is an expression of His Person and Power. It is the revelation of His meekness and majesty. It is both His character and His power revealed in different forms to mankind. It is truly the revelation of the presence of God. The Bible says that the heavens continually declares and manifests the glory of the Lord! Even right now, the heavens are talking about the limitless glory of God as it’s throwing new stars into space and new planets are being formed, old galaxies are dying out and new ones are being formed. The HEAVENS are crying out the mighty GLORY of GOD! And this can’t be limited in words or images drawn by man. It can’t be even contained in the expressions of man’s praise. All of creation cries out ‘Glory!’ constantly displaying the splendor of God’s glory. They can’t keep silent. They just have to cry out. Jesus said that if we keep silent, the rocks will cry out! The rocks will shout out that our God is not a dead God, He is a living and glorious God. Glory to God in the highest. What an awesome God we serve!

How is God going to manifest His glory to the Nations?

Is it going to be through a fire, or an earthquake, or wind, rain or light? These are indeed the glory of God. But the greatest revelation of God’s glory is, Christ in us, the hope of Glory (Col 1:27. The moment you have a revelation of who you are in Christ, you will have a revelation of Glory and begin it flowing through your life. In Rom 3:23 it is written, that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. That means, we all have fallen short of the Person of God, which is His nature and power because of sin. It is His character and His ability.

We were separated from Glory because of sin. Man tried in many ways since then, to try and create a glory for himself though achievements and laurels, through religion and power. But all that glory is the glory of the world. Peter says that all man’s glory is like the flowers in the field, ‘it’s here today and gone tomorrow.’ It is fleeting and frail. It is earthly and carnal and sure to fail. But God knowing this, gave His only Son to us to live inside of us. The Son Jesus is the glory of the Father. Col 1:27 says, ‘To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:’ Since you and I could not have true glory since it was lost because of sin, God gave His Son Jesus as a permanent residence of God’s glory in us. Hallelujah!

This is exciting! God of heaven, Creator of the universe living in me! God of glory, dwelling in me! The most holy One, manifesting through me! Mighty God, working through me! This mighty God of Glory is my only and everlasting Hope of Glory. Every other glory will fail. Christ will never fail.

Do you know what it means to live in this glory?

Have you experienced this Christ in you, manifesting His Glory? Are you a glory carrier and a vessel of Glory? What an inheritance in the saints that I am called by God to manifest His glory. I can’t contain myself. I have to shout it out…”Christ in me, is my Hope of Glory!”

But then why don’t people who believe that Jesus is Lord not seeing a manifestation of glory in their lives and are always looking to other men of God to manifest glory? It is because there is a price to reveal His glory.

His glory is revealed through presence

By drawing near to Him in intimacy, we will see His glory revealed. Lev 9:6-7 says, Moses said, “This is the thing which the Lord has commanded you to do, that the glory of the Lord may appear to you.” Moses then said to Aaron, “Come near to the altar and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering that you may make atonement for yourself and for the people; then make the offering for the people, that you may make atonement for them, just as the Lord has commanded.” Intimacy with God will always cause a revelation of the glory of God to you and to others. This is the key difference between people that live ordinary and those that reveal the glory. If we are people that welcome His anointing in our lives, we will see the glory of God revealed in every day of our lives. We must spend time in the presence of God.

His glory is revealed through our faith, or what we believe.

In John 11:40 it quotesJesus saying , ‘If you believe, you will see the glory of God.’ Many people know the Word of God. But then knowing is not believing. Even agreeing is not believing. Walking in it every day is a true manifestation of believing. If I believed, I would walk in the glorious revelation of Christ in me every day.

His glory is revealed through preaching the Gospel

Is 40:3-5 says, “Prepare the way for the Lord…and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together” Many people will agree that we must tell others about Christ but won’t. The revelation of God’s glory in this world is by the mighty preaching of the Gospel along with signs and wonders following.

His glory is revealed through obedience

Many people want glory but they do not want to obey. Obedience is a prerequisite for glory.

This year 2014, there is going to be an increase in glory, by which I mean there, is going to be an increase in the Church of the living God, pursuing the presence of God. People in the midst of their busy lives, are going to begin to run after the glory through intimacy with the Holy Spirit. A generation of people will arise seeking the presence of God. Psalm 27:4 says, One thing have I asked of the Lord, one thing will I seek, after that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.

This year, around the world, more people are going to work on what they believe, because right believing is the secret to right receiving. People are going to get hungrier for the truth of God’s Word to transform them. The revelation of Christ is a revelation of the WORD of God. Christ in you is when the WORD takes flesh in you. There you will become a walking, talking, believing and manifesting WORD of God.

This year more people are going to be seen walking in obedience more than they have ever walked. Many will understand that their lives are limited as they have been struggling to obey the mighty Word of God. How can we reveal Christ if we are struggling to obey Him? Can we reveal anyone that we can’t obey? Let this year be a year of radical obedience to God’s Word in your lives and let it be a year of great revelation of Glory.

This year there is going to be a mightier preaching of the Gospel than there has ever been before. People will begin to understand Who lives inside of them and begin to preach it. They will talk about not just the way to life, but the life of Glory.

This year, this glory (Christ in You), will protect you, will sanctify you, will speak for you, will guide you, will bring desire in you to manifest Christ, will lead you to intimacy, will exalt you, will transform you, draw others to you and sent you to the nations. Don’t miss this glory in your lives. Don’t stop short of carrying His Glory and from manifesting it to a hurting world. Dear children of God, don’t miss this glory. Let there not be another ‘Ichabod’ (the glory has departed) in your lives due to the disobedience to God’s Word.

This year, carry the weight of God’s glory in you. That is Christ in you, the hope of Glory. Reveal Him, talk about Him, preach Him, manifest Him through your personal life, declare him through mighty miracles. Step out and preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons and see the glory of God. The Bible says in Psalm 29:9, everything in His temple cries “Glory!” That means if you are the temple of God, then everything in your being should be screaming, “CHRIST IS IN ME! This is the hope of Glory!”

The days are coming according to Habakkuk that the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of God as the waters cover the seas. I too want to be part of the revelation of that glory. I want Christ in me to shine. In fact that is our ministry. The Bible says that He has given us a ministry of Glory, to manifest the greatness of God in us, through the preaching and declaration of Christ as the Son of Glory!

Rom 8:21 says that all of creation is waiting for the revelation of the glory of the children of God. Through your revelation of glory, they will be set free. Do you understand the significance of what I am saying? Your revelation of Glory is their only hope to set them free! Oh what a joy to know that Christ chose you and me to reveal His glory… that is the manifestation of God’s nature and mighty power through you and me.

I pray that the eyes of your understanding will be opened to the height, depth, length and breadth of God’s glory put in you who is a vessel of clay. Many people say that they are nothing and so they cannot preach Christ. But that’s the deal. You don’t have to be something to preach Christ. If you were, then there would be no reason to preach Christ. Since you and I are nothing, then truly Christ in these jars of clay becomes our only glory to reveal. That’s why we all the more need Christ to shine through us.

In fact the greatest punishment we can have is to live a life without glory. 2 Thess 1:9 says that, being away from the presence of God and His glory will be their punishment. It means it is a self-inflicted punishment, not to walk in the glory of God. Don’t punish yourselves people! Don’t walk in anything lesser than a life of glory. It is time to arise and shine forth His glory.

Haggai says to build God’s temple and to pour out His glory. You and I are the temple of the Holy Spirit. So if you allow Christ to build you up, there will be a revelation of God’s Glory. Haggai saw in the Spirit that the glory of the latter house would be greater than the former. Yes indeed he was talking about the temple. But truly the latter temple was never greater than the former. He was speaking in the spirit about a house of Glory that was going to be built not made of hands, but by the Holy Spirit. The glory of Christ in you in this new covenant is greater than any glory ever. Prophets looked for this day. Angels longed to look into these things. But only we have the privilege to walk in it as the children of God. We are the Sons of God that is the Sons of Glory!

This glory will send you to the nations. Many nations have plundered you in the past. Demons have tormented you. Many people have mocked you and ridiculed you. God is going to sent you back to the very places that you were humiliated to show the world what God can do with a man or woman that is revealing His Glory. Nations, get ready! We are coming. The Glory of God is going to shine in a greater way even through TROTB. Around the world people are coming with a message of God’s Glory for 2014. So as you Arise and Shine, the Glory of Yahweh will rise upon you. Darkness covers the earth, you might say. But that is a perfect setting for you to rise and shine and let Christ shine through you.

Gentiles shall come to the light of your rising. Heaven is waiting for you to rise and shine. Nations are waiting for you to rise and shine. The church is waiting for you to rise and shine.   This is your moment. This is your year. Go to your streets, go to your cities, go to your nation and go to the nations and shine the Glory of Christ all through this year. For thus said the Lord of Hosts, ‘After His glory sent me to the Nations who plundered you, for He who touches you, touches the apple of His eye. Zech 2:8. In Jesus’ mighty Name! Amen.
